With our two current human product candidates, a fibrin sealant and an active hemostat (thrombin), we are engaged in the haemostasis segment of the wound closure market.

We will position Haemacure in the wound healing market by developing new applications for our fibrin sealant and hemostat through combinations with proven technologies developed by third parties, such as therapeutics and biomaterials.  We will also be engaged in the adhesion prevention and drug delivery markets through the use of our fibrin sealant for these applications.

Finally, we are evaluating a possible entry into the human plasma-derived therapeutic proteins market further to our discovery of certain proteins in one of our plasma discards, that we would advance through partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

According to MedMarket Diligence LLC, the world market potential for fibrin sealants and haemostatic agents available today is reported to be in excess of US$3 billion and growth until 2015 is expected to be at double-digit rates.  Reported sales for adhesion prevention products in 2006 were over US$500 million and some estimate that world sales will exceed US$1 billion by 2012.  The fibrin sealant market as a drug delivery vehicle is also expected to develop into a very important market.

According to the Marketing Research Bureau, the world plasma-derived protein market is estimated to reach US$8.5 billion by 2010.  The North American market was estimated at US$2.4 billion in 2006.
